  • Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

Those of us who manage the public dollars will be held to account to spend wisely, reform bad habits, and do our business in the light of day, because only then can we restore the vital trust between a people and our government.

Honest Mistakes?

Timothy Geithner, the man chosen by BHO to be Treasury Secretary, has “revealed” that he has repaid $42,702 in back taxes and penalties, and that he once “briefly” employed an undocumented worker.

Of course, Schmuck Schumer, the rabidly partisan senior Senator from New York, has proclaimed that “these mistakes are not at all disqualifying”.  Robert Gibbs, spokesman for The One,  said that Geithner “should not be tarnished by honest mistakes”, since he addressed them “quickly”.

Saying that a tax problem is one that is not disqualifying for a candidate to head the Treasury Department is more than a stretch.

And, if this were a Republican, we would be seeing a totally different response. Can you say CLARENCE THOMAS, ROBERT BORK, or JOHN BOLTON? (to name a few)

The double standard here is glaringly obvious, but get used to it; more BOHICAs on the way for Obamanation.
