  • Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

Replenishing Treasury Revenues

The Federal Government is spending money like a Congressman adding pork to unrelated legislation, and has now had to resort to printing money to keep up with spending.

The simple solution is for President Obama to line up several dozen candidates for open Cabinet positions. The Democrat candidate will pay back taxes and penalties, the media and public will find out about the candidate being a tax cheat, the candidate will step down, another one will come forward, the cycle repeats, and the Treasury will be replenished.

TOM DASCHLE ON TAXES

“Make no mistake, tax cheaters cheat us all, and the IRS should enforce our laws to the letter. ” Sen. Tom Daschle, Congressional Record, May 7, 1998, p. S4507. (click here to search for page containing this quote )

Taxing Double Standard

How is it that those of us that work have to pay taxes, but others, particularly those in government, can choose when to pay (or not to pay unless nominated for something that requires vetting), and not be held legally liable?

Ed Whelan has an interesting piece over at The Corner regarding the 2nd tax cheat that BHO has nominated for a cabinet position (at least, 2 that we KNOW of).
