  • Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

Those of us who manage the public dollars will be held to account to spend wisely, reform bad habits, and do our business in the light of day, because only then can we restore the vital trust between a people and our government.

Democrat Hypocrisy (yet again)

Browsing through various conservative blogs and forums, the general consensus is that the Republican Party has abandoned conservatism, and it didn’t just happen in the past year. And of course, many “Republicans” have jumped on the Obama bandwagon, and in the process, are further compromising Conservative principles.

So it’s a bit surprising (although certainly welcome) that the National Republican Congressional Committee went on the attack against both US Rep Chris Carney (D-PA) and his Democrat party bosses.

Carney, a “blue dog Democrat” who was first elected in 2006 in a heavily Republican district, was involved in a rather heated re-election campaign against Chris Hackett.

During the campaign, Carney and the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee hammered Hackett about unpaid taxes (and not paying them until he ran for office) as well as employing an illegal immigrant in his home.

The NRCC  has put out a press release asking why Carney is so conspicuously silent on the Geithner nomination.  After all, Geithner certainly fits the criteria used against Hackett by Carney and the DCCC last Fall.

Of course, we know the reason for the silence; just another example of Democrat Party hypocrisy.
