My 16 year old son is interested in current events, but he often asks me for my analysis of what is happening.

Today, he mentioned that he read that some on the left attribute the “Tea Parties” to racism. That is, the “right wingers” are prejudiced, and are protesting just because President Obama is black (actually, he’s bi-racial).

If some people truly believe this, they are ignoring what the mainstream media has, for the most part, avoided reporting. That is, the Tea Parties yesterday were not based on displeasure over the color of the President’s skin, nor were they only made up of “right wingers”.

The fact is, the demonstrations were attended by working class people who are fed up with the spend-and-then-tax politicians who are pissing away our future, as well as that of at least the next 2 upcoming generations. Yes, there are more and more in this country who are finally starting to pay attention; I just hope it’s not too late.

Sure, many of those attending may be classified as conservative, but there were a great many protestors that were previously Obama supporters and voters, and now that they’ve seen his true agenda, they realize their mistake.

So the left-wing media can carry on with their “tea bag” jokes, and their condescension and disgust towards those protesting. But when next year’s general election is finished, I sure hope they don’t have the gall to say they are surprised at the results…

Who is John Galt?

With the Legislative and Executive branches waging an all-out war against the middle and upper classes, there are more and more Democrats beginning to wake up to the fact that all that’s being done/proposed will affect THEM. Michelle Malkin has an interesting video of Whoopi Goldberg lamenting on The View about all of the taxes that are being piled on. Do I detect a ray of HOPE that all of this CHANGE will turn unpopular with Libs?

For those who dismiss the idea of the Main Stream Media being in cahoots with the Democrats, chew on this: B. Hussein’s pick for UN Ambassador, Susan Rice, is the husband of Ian Cameron. And who is Ian Cameron? Why none other than Executive Producer of ABC’ s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos”. I wonder if Ian and Susan join in on The Ballerina’s morning Talking Points conference call from the White House?

Poor Joe Biden. Just when he finishes up from the last time he was grounded by B. Hussein, he goes out and opens up his mouth again. In a speech to the AFL-CIO at their convention in Miami, he said this: “And (sic) old joke…you go home with them that brung you to the dance,” the vice president said, according to remarks put out by the White House. “Well, you all brought me to the dance a long time ago. And it’s time we start dancing, man. It’s time we start dancing.” Go to your room Joe, and don’t come out until Barry tells you that your punishment is once again over…

Talk about having no class. While Barry and Michelle are living it up on Wednesday nights at the White House, they certainly didn’t put too much thought into a gift for Gordon Brown. You can dress ‘em up, but you can’t take ‘em out…

Don’t go planning on spending that “tax cut” that’s been promised to begin on April 1.

In what is perhaps the very first April Fool’s joke by the US Government, the tax cut announced by B. Hussein is anything BUT a tax cut.

You see, Obama announced that he has ordered employers to cut taxes taken from workers’ paychecks as part of his effort to boost a worsening U.S. economy.

But the key is in the wording. Yes, he HAS ordered employers to cut witholding of taxes in workers paychecks. However, what ISN’T being reported is that the tax tables are unchanged for 2009. The tax RATE is unchanged , but employees will have $65 less WITHHELD from their check.

And to add insult to injury, those who do not make enough to OWE income taxes can “file for their share”.

But then again, what does one expect from an administration that nominates tax cheats for cabinet positions.

Maybe one of the Tea Party protesters can help spread the word.

Grab your ankles….

Summer 2008: we’re using too much gas, and everyone should be driving fuel-efficient vehicles.

Winter 2008: we’re not driving enough, and the increased fuel efficiency of vehicles has caused a steep decline in gas tax revenues, so the government is going to raise the gas tax.

Liberals are never happy. You drive too much, and that is bad. You drive too little, and that is bad. You drive fuel-efficient vehicles, and that is good. You drive fuel-efficient vehicles, and that is bad.

And now, our roads and bridges are crumbling, and we’re all gonna die unless the government intervenes.

And of course, the answer to all problems is to raise taxes. Whether it be one of the proposals in North Carolina which taxes drivers based on mileage (and you can bet your rear end that this would be in ADDITION to the tax on each gallon of gas), or the proposal in Oregon that would mandate installation of a GPS unit into each vehicle, thus enabling the state to charge by the mile. And while reassurances often accompany such proposals (e.g. “don’t worry, this will REPLACE the current tax system), the thiefs politicians seldom stick to this initial promises.

Gloom and doom is alive and well in Liberal Land. They come up with a problem, and when the problem disappears, it’s replaced by another. It’s a never ending cycle, and with the media in lock step with many of these politicians, it becomes an accepted fact.

And of course, the answer: MORE TAXES.

If only the liberal politicians (D’s AND R’s) would let natural market and other forces run their course, we’d be happier, and a lot better off….

The Democrats in Congress are leading the charge to both save one of their prime voting blocks (the UAW) and to nationalize the Auto industry. Giving GM and Chrysler loans is nothing more than a band aid as well as lost money. Yes, there will be definite consequences if the “Big 3″ go under. But donating taxpayer money will only prolong the problem, not solve it. I say let the chips fall as they may. If GM, Chrysler, and Ford can turn things around by producing quality vehicles, that’s great. But if their mismanagement and the greed of the unions continue, they’ll appropriately go out of business, and the market will have spoken.

Note to trans-gendered HIV positive prisoners: if you want to get out of prison on time, do NOT spit on guards.

My wife and I were at Sam’s Club last weekend, and there must have been at LEAST 4 people in line when we were with LCD or Plasma Flat Screen TV’s. My son and I went to Circuit City last night in our quest for a Wii (we found one at the 7th store), and saw 3 people in line with flat panel TV’s. A friend at work has a theory that families are buying a “family gift”, rather than more individual gifts. Whatever the reason, there are people still buying big ticket items, but I think that next Christmas, you’ll see major cutbacks.

Throwing more money into the educational cesspool does not equate to higher quality education.

My co-worker and I came up with ONE good outcome of B. Hussein being our next POTUS: our guns will rapidly increase in value (small consolation compared to all of the rights we’ll be losing).

No more tourist trips to NYC or New York State for MY family. Gov Paterson apparently wants to punish people in the form of insane taxation. Citizens of New York will have to live with their decision on electing this yo-yo as Lt. Governor (or whatever New Yawkers call the vice-governor), but as someone who lives out of state, I don’t; it’s bad enough that we have Fast Eddie.

You can pick your friends, you can pick your nose, but you can’t pick your parents, even if they are 3 fries short of a Happy Meal….
