“Then I will do it by  myself,” She planted her crop, and the wheat grew and  ripened.

“Who will help me reap my wheat?” asked  the little red hen.

“Out of my classification,” said the pig.

“I’d lose my seniority,” said the cow.

“I’d lose my unemployment compensation,” said the  goose.

“Then I will do it by myself,” said the  little red hen, and so she did.

“That would be overtime for me,” said the cow.

“I’d lose my welfare benefits,” said the duck.

“I’m a dropout and never learned how,”  said the pig.

“If I’m to be the only  helper, that’s discrimination,” said the goose.

“Then I will do it by myself,” said the little red hen.

She baked five loaves and held them up for all of her neighbors to see. They wanted some and, in fact, demanded a share. But the little red hen said, “No,  I shall eat all five loaves.”

And they all painted ’Unfair!’ picket signs and marched around and around the  little red hen, shouting obscenities.

Then the farmer (Obama) came. He said to the little red hen, “You must not be so greedy.”

“But I earned the bread,” said the little red hen.

“Exactly,” said Barack the farmer. “That is what makes our  free enterprise system so wonderful. Anyone in the  barnyard can earn as much as he wants. But under our modern government regulations, the productive workers must divide the fruits of their labor with those who are lazy and idle.”

And they all lived happily ever after, including the little red hen, who smiled and clucked, “I am grateful, for now I truly understand.”

But her neighbors became quite disappointed in  her. She never again baked bread because she joined the ‘party’ and got her bread free. And all the Democrats smiled. ‘Fairness’ had been established.

Individual initiative had died, but nobody noticed;  perhaps no one cared…so long as there was free bread  that ‘the rich’ were paying for.

Variations of this theme are all over the place, from soundbites to news articles and now to people talking on the streets. 

The great liberal wet dream of a socialist Amerika is within their reach, and the Mainstream Media is doing their best to ensure that it happens. And both the MSM and politicians are playing on the achilles heel of the American public; widespread ignorance of economics, and the PERCEIVED promise of freebies from the Government. Just ask Peggy Joseph.

Have you seen anything this week in the media on anyone appointed to Obama’s economic advisory board? And if so, did any of the names mean anything?

Well, one of those “advisors” is Jeffrey Immelt. Yes, the CEO of General Electric, who has led his company to a plunge in profits since taking over from Jack Welch (40% drop in stock price), is advising The Messiah on how to save the economy.  

But even more chilling is the fact that GE is the parent company to NBC. Immelt’s new position makes George Stephanopoulos’ daily calls with Rahm Emanuel  pale in comparison to this.

In addition to NBC Nightly News, the big deal with this is that CNBC is also under the control of Immelt.  And if you think the propaganda we are hearing NOW is bad, just wait until it pervades one of the top watched business news channels. CNBC – the new MSNBC?

In another development this past week, it’s clear that the Left will forego the 1st Amendment and attempt to stifle Conservative radio.

In an interview this week with Bill Press, Sen. Debbie Stabenow, D-Michigan said that there needs to be more “balance” in broadcasting, and suggested hearings on this in the Senate. Yes, that great liberal mantra of “fairness” will rear it’s ugly head and gun for the likes of Limbaugh, Savage, Boortz, and anyone else that opposes The Plan.

As Michelle Malkin points out, opposing viewpoints are getting under the skin of these Leftists. It’s not difficult to figure out that they will stop at nothing to stifle opposing viewpoints. Damn the Constitution!

Will there be a need for Radio Free America in our future? Will pirate broadcasters pop up all over the place? Stay tuned – if you are still allowed.

The Queen has spoken.

Ever since FDR initiated his “New Deal”, our country is being converted from a Republic to a Socialist State.  The Democrats (and increasingly the Republicans) realize that there is an ever-increasing portion of society that favors income redistribution, which leads to votes and then re-election.

Is Socialism best for the country? I would argue not.

Our founding fathers took great risks to break off from the tyranny of England, to ultimately form a government based on the primary principle of liberty. But the taxes imposed upon the colonists pale in comparison to what we face today; and it ain’t going to get any better.

Just as happened to the Madoff Ponzi scheme, the government’s Ponzi scheme will eventually crash and burn. Yes, all of the money which is confiscated from our paychecks in the form of FICA taxes is currently funding not only current Soshsecurity (ala Harry Reid) payments, but also is funneled into the general fund, and ends up financing the pork that keeps Congress Critters in the House and Senate.  There is no such thing as a seperate Social Security fund.

I can go on and on, but I think you get the point.

The solution is rather simple, and contains 2 parts:

1. Line item veto power to the POTUS.

2. Term limits for all elected offices, INCLUDING the House and Senate.

The line item veto will allow the POTUS to get rid of needless expenditures that the greedy thiefs slip in, which have absolutely nothing to do with the original bill. Since the purpose of having 3 branches of government is to keep each branch in check,  (for those of you educated in the Publik Skoolz, the three branches are the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial), line item veto is very appropriate.

Term limits will prevent any one person from gaining too much power and influence, which will even the playing field, thus making our government truly representative, rather than having career politicians making decisions based on politics, rather than on what is best for the country.   If term limits are good enough for the President, they certainly should be good enough for the House and Senate.

But I won’t hold my hand on my ass until either of THESE happen…
